SLITPA-UAE 2025/2026 - Executive Committee
The Sri Lankan IT Professionals Association in the UAE (SLITPA-UAE) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the year 2025/2026 successfully in a virtual format on 13th May 2025. Despite the challenges posed by busy schedules and geography, the event saw enthusiastic participation and marked a significant milestone in the Association’s continued mission to empower Sri Lankan IT professionals in the UAE. SLITPA-UAE operates under the umbrella of the Sri Lankan Professionals Association (SLPA-UAE)—a distinguished and registered professional body in the UAE that represents various professional sectors of the Sri Lankan expatriate community. A highlight of the AGM was the appointment of the new Executive Committee for 2025/2026, which brings together a dynamic and highly experienced group of professionals from across the IT industry in the UAE. New Executive Committee – 2025/2026: President: Mr. Thishan Gunasekara – A veteran IT professional with over 25+ years of industry experience, Mr. Gunasekara brings strategic insight and leadership to the Association. Vice President: Mr. Roshan Weerasuriya Secretary: Mr. Dilum Fernando Assistant Secretary: Mr. Deepthi Wahalawatte Treasurer: Mr. Danusha Ranchigoda Assistant Treasurer: Mr. Lakshitha Seneviratne Director – Membership Sub Committee: Mr. Mohammed Rizwan Razeek Director – Events and Social Affairs Sub Committee: Mr. A.R.M. Lakshan Chathuranga Bandara Director – Training and Career Development Sub Committee: Mr. Tharindu Gunarathne Director – Business Development, Establishment, and Business Guidance Sub Committee: Mr. Porage Nilan Shirosh Amalinda Perera Director – Media and Communication Sub Committee: Mr. Nimesh Madushanka Jayawickrama The newly appointed Executive Committee brings together a wealth of expertise and a shared commitment to uplift the Sri Lankan IT professional community in the UAE.
